Hi Brandon (a.k.a. Berrett),

Don't usually talk in open form about being ill but I've gone through 3 bouts of cancer and your music (from Broadway to opera...country to folk) has been with me over the last couple years on my mp3 player through some hard times. What I can't tell you is how much the music you've sung has done for me in some, to put it mildly, fairly uncomfortable times. We actually used to send messages through YouTube but I haven't done it in a long time and realized that in the communications I had with you I never said "thank you" for sharing the music that you make with me/us. Whether you are doing covers or original songs, the emotion and soul in your singing has given me great peace in rough times. And so again, thank you.

While your career is to make music and you seem always busy, I hope more people will get to hear the talent you possess. It is becoming more and more rare to find people who cannot only sing but can tell a meaningful story in their music that conveys a deep or sweet or loving meaning and message. Sorry the message was so long but it is rare to be able to send a message directly to someone who has had an effect on ones life. I wish you as much joy as you have given others.

I've been following your stuff for over 13 years now. You were awesome in your first band, "Gay Trees" with ol' what's his face. Then "Great Cesar's Ghost" was amazing! Again with o'l what's his name..? You turned down that up in coming boyband, "5th Gear", good move to dump that. AND NOW LOOK AT YOU! WOW!Some Label in the music biz is missing out on million's of dollars! You keep writing & rockin' & we'll keep listening. By the way... What happened to your ol' side kick?
